For New Yorkers fortunate enough to find themselves sailing the seven seas (or perhaps just the Hudson River), this life vest from Kurgo offers reflective trim, two leash-attachment points, two handles to securely lift a dog from the water and is machine washable.

Best of all, it has uses on dry land — the “three-season shell” turns into a raincoat when the flotation layer is removed, making it a go-to item even when the temperatures cool.
