Meet the world’s smallest (and most adorable) deer species

NEW YORK — A tiny deer is generating a giant dose of cuteness in New York City.

The Wildlife Conservation Society sent out a baby announcement Monday. It’s a boy!

The southern pudu fawn — the world’s smallest deer species — was born May 12 at the Queens Zoo.

The fawn is still nursing but soon will be munching on leaves, grain, kale, carrots and hay.

This is the happiest dog you’ll see all day

This is Cinnamon, the Shiba Inu who never stops smiling.

Whether she’s riding in a New York cab, snuggled in a blanket or visiting the dreaded vet, Cinnamon never loses her ear-to-ear grin and she’s become awfully popular because of it.

“The amount of attention Cinnamon gets is overwhelming,” her owner Andrew told Caters News. “Everyone stops us, commenting on her grin.”

“I like to say she looks like a clown because of her big, wide smile.”

Put your paws up for history’s 4 most heroic dogs

This Memorial Day, meet 4 furry soldiers whose heroics have earned them their place in US history.

Sgt. Stubby

The New Haven, Conn.-born Boston terrier was smuggled aboard a Paris-bound ship by Cpl. Robert Conroy in 1917, and became the mascot of the 102nd Infantry.

For the next 18 months, Stubby located wounded soldiers in the field and warned his men to incoming artillery shells, which he could hear before they did.

He was even fitted with a custom-designed gas mask.
